Classic Deep teams up with six40 to produce another great song which they entitle “Maskatears”.
South African musicians, Classic Deep and six40, seem to have a superb working relationship that probably stems from friendship. They decided to come together to create a new sound, “Maskatears” which has takes root in their new record, “Tom and Jerri”, a ten-track album released this year, not too long ago actually.
The LP arrived bringing in the sheaves in terms of collaborations, as different SA talents were invited to make their individual inputs on about eight different songs. However, “Maskatears”, the ninth song on the album, lasting over seven minutes of playtime, begs to differ as only Classic and six40 worked on the song. Other guest acts on the project include Toss, Nobantu Vilakazi, Bob Mabena, Zuma, Mzu M, Shuger 107, 2woshort, Jabulile, Reece Madlisa, LuuDaDeejay, Kammu Dee and BEAST RSA.
