Conway and Alchemist are gearing up to drop their collaborative album titled LULU which is expected to be released on the 30th of March.
Released today “Shoot Sideways,” is the first single off the much-anticipated project and it features ScHoolboy Q. The 22-minute project houses seven songs, with another guest appearance from Cormega.
Conway The Machine has proven he is a force to recon me all through past years, dropping at least a body of work annually since his major breakthrough in 2015. Conway is releasing “Shoot Sideways” to get the people talking before the actual album release.
Over a usually slow instrumental from Alchemist, Conway uses his typical careless drug chatter, bragging that, “Body sh*t every time Alchemist sendin’ me a folder.” Schoolboy is consigned to hook obligation. The tune doesn’t have many shockers but that’s not the focus — it’s hard, it’s uncompromising, and it’s expressively clever, precisely the characteristics Griselda fans have come to anticipate.
This is a gritty beat which suits Buffalo emcees perfectly. Q did not rap on it but his chorus line does mean a lot to the song.
