Ghanaian songster D-Black sings “Sawasa,” a song featuring South Africans Semi Tee and Malemon. It’s a first for all three as far as we know.
The two guest artists are no strangers to each other, however. In fact, Semi Tee and Malemon have released several songs together previously. “Vumani” and “Lemonade” readily come to mind.
Anyway, their appearance on “Sawasa” only shows just how good they are as collaborators. The pleasure of listening to them together is something you might want to experience. Why not right away?
D-Black is no amapiano artist. But he’s shining in the path he’s taken in Ghana. In South Africa, though Semi Tee and Malemon appear to be among the amapiano aces. Here piano meets something else. But the result, fortunately, is not jarring.
You may think of “Sawasa” as a song to keep you warm on a cold day and a song to go to when you want a good time. Anytime.
