South African band Dbn Nyts presents a song titled “UyangFaka” in collaboration with compatriots Oskido, Thee Legacy and Trademark.
It’s a meeting of champions, in a sense. Dbn Nyts is a notable South African band which has been treating the Rainbow nation to fine numbers. The group might not be counted among the prolific but they can be counted on for quality music.
Oskido is a solo artiste and one of the kwaito veterans out there. He combines the offices of a DJ and producer decently.
Thee Legacy is a maskandi group and one of the finest in the genre. The group popped out of the KwaZulu-Natal area sometime in 2015 and has released several numbers, including an eponymous album.
Trademark is another South African group which should not be mistaken for a German band of the same name. The South African band recently worked with Afro Brotherz and Makhadzi on a song titled “Uyapenga.”
By the way, Dbn Nyts’ collaborative tune “UyangFaka” is part of the afro-house album Kaybee & LaChoco which premiered on Apple Music and other digital platforms yesterday 30 October.
That body of work houses nine tracks in all and plays for exactly forty nine minutes.
