Days before the official unveiling of the song, De Mthuda had shared the cover art and urged fans to watch out for the official release on Friday. As promised, the song is out, a work of potent lyrical charm, like previous numbers from the duo.
“Boss Zonke” has a party vibe to it, so we wouldn’t be surprised to see it light up bistros in the Rainbow Nation in the coming days, and beyond.
It appears De Mthuda and Ntokzin are having a serious collaborative fever because their latest jam drops just over a week after they treated fans to “Maplakeng.” At this point we can only say “Boss Zonke” presages more jams.
