Serial collaborators DJ Ace and Real Nox link up again for a new song. This one is titled “Madumane Ke Star” and features Gold Krish
With “Madumane Ke Star” as a title, a lot comes to mind instantly. The first is a reference to one of the Piano Kings DJ Maphorisa and the other is to a song by amapiano ace Focalistic.
A listen to the song and one realizes that the song is actually homage to DJ Maphorisa (Madumane), who has accomplished much in South Africa’s amapiano universe. Formerly a gqom artiste, DJ Maphorisa had joined Kabza De Small in his amapiano orbit, becoming one of the most visible faces in the genre.
“Madumane Ke Star” will certainly please DJ Maphorisa in whose honour the song was released. The song is an interesting addition to the thin list of musical shout outs from Mzansi, and yes, you can listen to it without qualms whatsoever.
