DJ Sbu & Alikiba Croon Nakupenda
South Africa’s DJ Sbu links up with his Tanzanian counterpart for a new song titled “Nakupenda,” which you can stream here on UbeToo.
It’s like returning to old habits, DJ Sbu spilling the waters of love on the soul of whoever would listen to him. He made a fine choice in Alikiba, a maestro of love jams who recently courted controversy with his “Mediocre” song. The said song was thought to be a diss at Harmonize and Diamond Platnumz, two of Alikiba’s notable bingo flava rivals, but Alikiba denies it to this day
Anyway, the song in review, “Nakupenda,” is one of the winning tunes in DJ Sbu’s latest compilation, an album titled “Home Coming: The African Odyssey.” In that body of work DJ Sbu, who is gearing to claim a Guinness World Record, traces the African experience.
We count “Nakupenda” as one of the standout tracks in the compilation. Not surprisingly, it is one of the songs with the most views in that compilation as well.
