On November 24, the songster had taken to his Instagram page to share the artwork of the album, urging fans to look forward to the album on 4 December. He kept to his promise and released the album on schedule. And fans are pleased.
They should be in that the released “Statement” actually totes several numbers worthy of the flame emoji. Several. Before the songster decided to unleash his “Statement,” he had wondered out loud (via a post on Instagram) if he should round off the year with an album. The “ay” from fans was overwhelming.
So here we are, with “Statement,” a body of work with as much musical appeal as “Amapiano Legacy” and other projects the songster had offered, a body of work that is worthy of being called a champion’s last for the year.
