Recently, Afrotainment artiste Joocy had stated he was dropping a new album soon. It was nothing more than a hint, really. Days ago the songster amplified the hint with the release of the cover art of the project. Now the album is here, “Soulmate.”
Soulmate is a 12-track body of work featuring some fine names in South african music, including the Afrotainment boss DJ Tira. Joocy may have been a tease earlier, but with the release of this fine body of work, fans really wouldn’t mind.
Joocy is not one artiste to rush into the studio and then rush out. The muso takes his time with his numbers, ad they usually come out grand. This collection is but a testament to the decision to the right course and drop numbers that resonate with listeners out there.
“Soulmate” is the first album we’ve heared from the muso this year, and given that the year is already far spent, we anticipate it would be his last as well. Either way, well be having a good time with “Soulmate.”
