The lead artiste, Josi Chave, began his musical adventure in his teens, as a DJ. He veered into the world of broadcasting after completing a diploma in radio broadcasting.
But that did not cancel his interest in music. On the contrary, it gave him a broader platform and sharpened his desire to create more, musically. In 2006, he formed a record label called Blacknoize.
“Baleka” is a testament of his creative powers as it is of his determination not to give up on music despite his broadcasting commitments. He is fortunate to have picked artistes with whom he shares strong musical synergy. The result? A song to jam to and share as well.
