The piano kings Kabza De Small and DJ Maphorisa return with a new song titled “Umsholozi,” featuring Young Stunna. It’s a reunion of sorts for the three, as they have worked together previously.
And like in their previous collaboration, they made it worth the while of the listener. Yeah, their latest drop is worth every minute of its playtime.
The two lead singers, Kabza De Small and DJ Maphorisa, are easily two of the leading voices in amapiano music in South Africa. The one had been dropping piano music long before it became popular. In fact, many look up to him as one of those who made amapiano popular.
The other lead artiste, DJ Maphorisa, came from the world of gqom music. He was already a celebrated gqom producer before delving into amapiano. His link-up with Kabza De Small has led to what’s easily the most formidable partnership in amapiano music right now.
And because Kabza De Small and DJ Maphorisa have been outstanding together, they’re collectively called the Scorpion Kings – also partly in reference to their album of the same title.
