The scorpion Kings Kabza De Small and DJ Maphorisa continue their collaborative adventure with a new jam titled “Umtheto,” which you can stream here on UbeToo. The song features fellow South Africans Nia Pearl and Daliwonga.
It’s been a long and productive collaborative relationship for the two lead artists. They came from musical worlds so totally apart that many are surprised they now share an excellent piano bond.
DJ Maphorisa was formerly a gqom artiste. He had leapt into the world of piano music after he noticed Wizkid was impressed with t sound and even asked about it.
Sine ditching for piano music, he has formed a strong partnership with Kabza De Small, leading to several piano hits. And because the two have contributed significantly to the amapiano genre, they are not collectively called the Piano Kings.
One can’t fault the tag. The two continue to assert their dominance on the piano music scene, often sharing the decks and turntables.
They make it clear with their latest drop that they have earned their stripes. Their pals Nia Pearl and Daliwonga, were just as great on the number. So go ahead and vibe with the scorcher they have just released.
