The Piano King Kabza De Small returns with a new song titled “Zenzele,” featuring compatriots and associates Daliwonga, Nkulee 501, and MDU aka TRP.
When we say “return,” we don’t mean that the bod left the music scene. Far from it. Would Kabza De Small even want to take a break? He’s always in fierce productive energy, and his key collaborator DJ Maphorisa had had to implore him to rest a bit.
He didn’t rest. More numbers dropped from his orbit. The latest is the track in review. “Zenzele” has that understated charm you find in most works from the “Condom” muso. And to his credit, he picked artists with whom he shares a great musical connection.
The result is what it is: a song to not only vibe with but to share with others as well.
Famous as a solo artist and as a collaborator, Daliwonga’s winning voice is not something you can miss on this beat. Nkulee 501 comes in as a sterling complement, as does MDU aka TRP.
It’s a meeting of three local champions, and their offering is one that will strengthen the sinews of South Africa’s amapiano universe. It’s a song to check out if you desire a good time.
