Kota Embassy drops a new joint titled “Bassists,” featuring Major League DJz. It’s a meeting of two bands, and to their credit, they did well together.
Kota Embassy has been making waves in the dance and electronic orbits in South African music. It cannot be explained why they elected to work with an amapiano band, but they did well anyway.
“Bassists” is not exactly a festival of bass, but as far as musical experiences go, this one is worth having.
The guests on the track, Major League, are among the leading groups in South Africa’s amapiano space right now. Made up of the twin brothers Bandile and Banele, the group was formerly into hip hop music.
Along the line, they had been captured by the amapiano wave. Now, all they play is piano music. And they have challenged themselves to amapiano music to the ends of the earth. Thus was born the Amapiano Balcony series.
From hosting their mixes locally, Major League DJz now traverses the world, taking their mixing magic with them.
It’s a great pleasure listening to “Bassists,” a song for which they were picked as guests. Go ahead and vibe with the song if you want to have a good time.
