“Apparently I Must Lose” is the title of 3TWO1’s new EP. But y’all know as much as we do that the songster isn’t losing. Not now. Not ever.
3TWO1 is one of the recent manifestations on South Africa’s music scene, having first popped on the circuit of Lift As You Rise, a collaborative project between Nasty C and Red Bull Music South Africa.. However, he has left no one in doubt he is one talent that will go places – as the cliché goes.
“Apparently I Must Lose” is as much as testament of his artistic powers as it is of his growth since 2019, when many first became aware of his music and creative powers.
The EP begins with a track titled “Soft Serve,” a collaborative work with The Lowkeys, Teeza and Venom, and ends with “BS,” a collaborative work with Khutso. Another artiste who made the guest list is SiBi.
The guest on the project might be few, but this rap compilation itself is irreproachable. It bears so much lyrical energy you can trust it to keep you warm on a long day.
