MacG on a song? That would be the ultimate surprise for many at this point. But the podcast host may have just shown his versatility with the release of “Mdf,” a song featuring fellow South Africans Lady Du, Sizwe Alakine, TBO and Robot Boii.

Of course, MacG is no stranger to music, and this wouldn’t exactly be his first musical intervention. The songster is, first and foremost, a disc jockey. But he has been so consumed with his podcast career that many have apparently forgotten he once held court at the decks and turntables.
Anyway, the songster has an intriguing offering in “Mdf,” and working with Lady Du, Sizwe Alakine, TBO and Robot Boii is not something we think anyone would quarrel with. On the contrary, the guest artists actually flowed well with the lead. The result is something you should embrace with ease.
