Mas Musiq presents a charming tune titled “Sim Sima” in collaboration with fellow South Africans Focalistic & DBN Gogo.
“Sim Sima” is one of the songs in Mas Musiq’s recently released “Mambisa II” EP, a fifteen-track body of work featuring artistes like DJ Maphorisa, Vyno Miller, Kabza De Small and of course Focalistic and DBN Gogo – an abridged list.
“Sim Sima” is but one of the tracks in which Mas Musiq tapped the vocal resources of Focalistic. He also worked with Focalistic on a track titled “Skelem,” which holds the number three spot on the tracklist of “Mambisa II” EP.
Adopting Focalistic on more than one track shows the musical appeal of the hip hop star of the “Ke Star” fame. The only other artistes who are similar featured are DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small, the Scorpion Kings of South African music associates of Mas Musiq.
A fine singer himself, DBN Gogo, although he’s got just a spot on the tracklist, delivered his bars with the champ’s ease and assurance. On the whole, “Sim Sima” is one song you just want to lap up and see others do the same.
