It’s a shakeup for the house of boredom as Mr. JazziQ, Mellow & Sleazy drop “Shaker Smart,” a song for which they tapped the vocal resources of fellow South Africans M.J, Mellow & Sleazy and Djy Ma’Ten.
Amapiano is the message here, and one must give it to these artists: They did a fine job of it. The “cooks” might appear to be, but they didn’t ruin the broth. “Shaker Smart” is a song for the weekend and beyond.
One of the lead artists, Mr. JazziQ, was formerly part of the two-man JazziDisciples band. The group split not long ago, and the one-time pals have gone solo, occasionally firing shots at each other.
Mellow & Sleazy is actually a group of two (Mellow and Sleazy). Assuredly, despite the name, there’s nothing sleazy about the group, or the one who bears the name that might have your eyes popping. They serve a sumptuous number for your weekend delight.
