Mthunzi continues in winning form with a new song titled “Baningi,” featuring fellow South African Mlindo The Vocalist. The two don’t have long and crowded collaborative history but have put together a song to be loved anyway.
Mthunzi is one of the artistes associated with Sun-El Musician’s El World music record label. He’s also one of the arresting voices in the label’s universe – an artiste worth hearing.
He brings his old engaging voice to those who would listen, creating a welcome musical experience that cannot be forgotten in a hurry. If you’re not averse to music that informs and warms the heart, go ahead and croon “Baningi.”
The guest artiste Mlindo The Vocalist was discovered by amapiano ace DJ Maphorisa. And although he’s not exactly an amapiano artiste, he’s managed to walk outta the door of obscurity to fame.
Now he only dreams of the ambitious – flying to the zenith of his career, owning a record label, and generally becoming a music mogul like DJ Tira.
That dram may not have been actualized yet but at the pace the songster is going, we wouldn’t be surprised to see him achieve them all. For now, you gotta vibe with “Baningi.”
