With the storm of releases this Friday, one can only smile, knowing that the weekend will be lit – with zero room for boredom. One of those who have released new music is Musa. His latest project goes by the title “Backroom” album.
What comes to mind looking at the tracklist is that a South African musician took 11 leaps with one project, and there’s so much to love about these leaps of faith. Hold on; this is not some proselytizing mission.
With just eleven tracks, Musa touches on several subjects, most of them relatable. He elected to work with associates like Zama Cofi, Zama Khumalo, Kwesta, Mnqobi Yazo and Beyond Vocal. The lead singer limited the number of those he worked with, ensuring he’s still the principal character. Way to go.
