Nasty C, the Zulu man With Some Power, is no stranger to surprise drops, having done that earlier. But when he released a surprise tune dubbed “Jack,” he had more than the Rainbow Nation nodding in approbation.
The songster, who’s currently in Tanzania and gearing for a performance, did not promote the song beforehand, nor has he said anything yet about it. But there’s no denying the appeal of the song and its motivational value.
“Jack” is more of a rags to riches tale. In this case, though, the listener is spared cloying moments and boring breaks. In the song, the hip hop champ acknowledged he came from the bottom – a world of lack. But he’s out of that world now and he doesn’t want to get back in there. Who would, anyway?
Well, just say “Jack” and get all the adrenaline you’d need to aspire to and ultimately claim a place in the sun. As the old saying goes, if you can think it, you can make it.
