In a post on September 7, South African music producer Oskido had shared a teaser of a song titled “Ngizimisele,” noting how fans had asked for a collaboration with Nkosazana Daughter, whom he called one of South Africa’s finest vocalists. Well, the song is here now and has X-wise as the sole guest.
Oskido is famous for giving people their flowers, so it isn’t surprising he should have positive words for his collaborator. But then, he isn’t exaggerating about Nkosazana Daughter. She is actually a fine voice – and unsurprisingly high in demand as a collaborator.
“Ngizimisele” is a work of great sonic charm with a message that will resonate with many out there because, for one, people are facing challenges that no one knows about. From this song, they just might have the energy and the pluck to push ahead and maybe end up in a place in the sun. Let the music begin.
