South Africa’s folk music universe is not a particularly developed one. Still, it’s exciting to see artists who believe in the genre spitting their bars all over the place. Pleasure Tsa Manyalo is one such singer; we love what she has been doing so far.

Her “Ga Wa Mpotsa” album is pretty heft with 25 songs. The compilation, which plays for precisely two hours and a minute, begins with an eponymous track and ends with “Sadi Phuta O Tsamaye.” In between those are songs like “Ngwatomosadi,” “Ke Nako,” “Boreadi,” and “O Mosadi,” and we’re still counting.

Two hours is pretty long for an album and might likely lead to lapses in boredom. Interestingly, though, we don’t have much to quarrel with the length of this compilation as the singer managed to hold our attention throughout.
