Prince kaybee Finally Drops As’Trende Feat. Mampintsha, Peekay Mzee & KamzaHeavyPoint

After some teasers, controversies and apologies, Prince kaybee has gone ahead to drop arguably one of the biggest house music od the year titled  As’Trende. The latest effort features West Ink heavyweightby the name Mampintsha and some pretty new name in the music scene, Peekay Mzee & KamzaHeavyPoint.

Few weeks ago we reported that As’Trende was in the studio with Mampintsha and just days after the report they confirmed that they actually had a song together. The announcement was met with a lot of criticism and backlash, as Prince Kaybee was questioned by fans on why he has chosen to record As’Trende with Mampintsha of all artists but Prince Kaybee who is known to have worked with quite a large number of artists took to his social media to apologize for his choice but decides to go ahead and release the song. The criticism wad obviously expected.

West Ink boss, Mampintsha and his Girlfriend Babes Wodumo are currently not in good terms with many, especially their female fans due to an event that happened some years ago but that does not stop their music from penetrating and reaching their audience. They have both released an album each this year, Mampintsha dropped Bhutmadlisa while Babes Wodumo released Ibando Kazi. Both Albums charted for weeks with some of the songs from the album still enjoying airplay and sitting on charts as we speak.

To compensate for his choice and choices that has led Mampintsha become enemy to some, they have decided to release As’Trende in support of a good course, 50% of proceeds made from this song will be donated to support organizations “working hard to stop the scourge of violence against women and protect victims of violence.”

As’Trende is Prince Kaybee’s fourth release of the year and it serves as a follow up to Uwrongo featuring Shimza, Black Motion & Ami Faku, Hosh featuring Sir Trill and Ayabulela featuring Caiiro and Sykes. According to Prince Kaybee, As’Trende is hit last release before his album drops. He is also currently working with some talented unknown artists for a collaborative project, an initiative to help upcoming artists gain exposure.
