Publiq R.F – Amahle Quku

Ace South African producer and DJ, Publiq R.F has just released a Gqom track in memory of slain Phillipi teenager Amahle Quku. This comes just as the South African students’ fraternity is mourning the brutal murder of the 17-year-old COSAS (Congress of South African Students) activist.

A couple of hours after the release of the Amahle Quku commemorative Gqom track, Publiq R.F went on his social media handles and announced that he would be releasing yet another track. The new song, by the name Rhali Rhali will be dropping this Friday (June 26) as per his announcement, if all goes well.

Publiq R.F has remained consistent in his work, releasing both contemporary and entertaining music for his fans. Though not publicized as a memorial song, Amahle Quku is one sentimental Gqom track that sends deep thoughts into the minds of South Africans on brutality.

The song’s title is derived from the name of a young female murder victim whose bright future was cut short by a ruthless psychopath. During these tough Covid-19 times the internet has been awash with all sorts of callous and inhumane incidences. Worryingly, most of these incidences are perpetrated by the very same people that are supposed to protect us.

Just the other day we were talking about George Floyd and Black lives matter, today in South Africa we are talking about Amahle Quku.
