Summer is here. But that’s no news. What’s news is that South Africa’s “Q Twins” are here with a song of the same title, an uplifting number that should see you hankering to embrace the season in all its warmth and sound and colour. Not bad, really.
“Summer” is one of the songs in the sisters’ recently released “The Gift Of Love” album. That body of work, which features artistes like Prince Bulo, Claudio & Kenza, Joocy, Ntencane and DJ Tira, is the talk of Mzansi right now.
Given the massive publicity of the project pre-release, perhaps this should surprise no one. Fortunately this isn’t just another body of work but a compilation of 11 fine tracts you should have no problem falling in love with. Yup.
The track “Summer” occupies the 7th position, just below “AmaGifts” and just above “Umuhle,” a collaborative work with Prince Bulo, another Afrotainment artiste.
