Serial collaborators Sdala B & Paige return with a deluxe edition of their album “Ngiyazifela.” The new release, “Ngiyazifela Ngawe (Deluxe),” is memorable outright. Yup.
Unlike the original compilation, the deluxe edition bears 12 tracks in all and features just one guest artiste: DJ Call Me.
With the way the album is tailored, the listener might end up with the view that the Open Mic production duo appears to want to pass the message that, sans guests, they can hold the attention of the listening public.
They have, after all, not co-opted a big-name artiste to push any of the songs in the compilation. But that’s by the way.
Sdala B & Paige are no veterans on the music scene in Mzansi, but they have shown that they are not only talented; they have got staying power as well. The pair has released several winning tunes, including a Zulu version of Makhadzi’s “Ghanama” hit.
