Simphiwe Dana Compensates With “Uzokhala”

Simphiwe Dana announced that her album release date has been pushed back just few days ago, the album which was supposed to drop on 24th of April has been pushed back due to the ongoing Corona virus pandemic which has caused all major outlet to shut down and major events postponed. Making the album postponement announcement, she wrote:

The worried mother also made it known that she is self-isolating and concerned how long the lockdown will last for and if what he has in stock would sustain her family:

Did stock up. But only 2 trolleys. Kids and I in self isolation. Each one of us in their rooms. About to make a killer breakfast. Kitchen is the only place we meet. Hands and faces washed all the time. Anti inflammation meds on standby. Wonder if we’ll survive 2 weeks like this

The multi-award winning Afro-jazz sensation however announced that the second single off the much anticipated album will be released as scheduled and here you have it. the second single is titled Uzokhala and it follows up on the successful release of “Usikhonzile” which by the way is still enjoying major airplay across the country.

While we await the new official release the for the Bamako album, which is was initially scheduled to be released March 27, the singer did not fail on delivering on the release of Uzokhala. announcing the release on her twitter page she wrote:

So happy to bring you this. I know it’s not the album, but I believe it will do for now. Out tomorrow #Uzokhala #BamakoIsComing
