On February 29, Sipho Magudulela made an ambitious move, that of dropping a new body of work dubbed “The Gift Of Life EP.” It was the culmination of extensive planning and recording.
Fans who waited for the release of the project, bow had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the same. In retrospect, the wait was not a waste.
EPs are known to be relatively short compared to albums. Here, from the outset, it was clear that Sipho Magudulela was determined to stick to this truth about extended plays.
“The Gift Of Life” EP has just four tracks, beginning with “Imisebenzi Yakho” and ending with “Yena Forever,” a collaborative tune with Vokal Kat. Between those are numbers like “Okungenhla,” which featured Marikana, and “Sihlobo Sam,” a song with no guests.
