South African singer Sir Trill is still in the mood to thrill – a reality that’s apparent in the song “Shiye Indoda eDubai,” which features Khanyi Mbau, Teejay and DJ Thukzin.
This song is a recipe for a good laugh – or introspection – depending on what’s up there in your head. And the choice of Khanyi Mbau is just appropriate in that the story embedded in the song is actually Khanyi’s.
The actress and singer had ditched her Zimbabwean lover Kudzai Mushonga and flew back to South Africa, leading the jilted lover to plead for her to return to him wherever she might be. He’d even asked for help locating her.
Well, Khanyi Mbau had booked a first-class ticket back to the Emirates to meet the man she’d temporarily dumped in the city of the Arabs. They had rekindled their love and flashed that reality in cozy snaps for the Gram.
Incidentally, the Dubai incident had earned Khanyi Mbau nomination by a local award body as drama queen of the year. Sir Trill brings a little of that drama for your listening pleasure in his “Shiye Indoda eDubai” scorcher. That song does a lot to you all at once.
But then it’s left for you to find out.
