Slenda Da Dancing DJ erupts like a dancing machine in “Umshini,” a song for which she tapped the vocal resources of fellow South Africans, T-Man, Beast, and Diskwa Woza.
“Umshini” is one of the six songs in Slenda Da Dancing DJ’s recently released “The Journey” EP. That body of work features key names in South African music, including Jeje, Andiswa Live, Q Twins, Tipcee, Ornica, Beast, DJ Tira, Prince Bulo and Nkosazane Daughter.
“Umshini,” easily one of the memorable tracks in that compilation, snaps the attention of whoever would listen to it and holds the same and for a long time too. Now that’s what an interesting bop is all about.
The lead singer made fine choices in T-Man, Beast, and Diskwa Woza. All three flowed beautifully with him, creating a musical experience that the listener would love repeated.
