With such great voices on the same number, you know you just have to listen. It isn’t all the time that you have the two artists on the same song. So having them together is not only a pleasure but something that should actually be cultivated.
Soa Mattrix is not nearly as prolific as DJ Maphorisa but he sure knows how to snap attention with his releases like the Scorpion King.
In contrast, DJ Maphorisa is now one of the de facto kings of amapiano music in South Africa. His grasp is such that one may wonder if he was doing amapiano all along.
Well, he wasn’t. He was previously a gqom artist and producer. But when Wizkid expressed his pleasure in amapiano music, Phori decided he should start making something in the genre. Looking back, it’s not a decision he regrets.
Anyway, he and Soa Mattrix have got a number that should make a fine addition to your playlist. And no, contrary to what the title might suggest, this song isn’t going to make a machine of you.
