South Africa’s Kwaito band The Trompies is back, bringing with them a charming new tune you might want to check out. Titled “uKhala Kanjani,” the song features compatriots Sjava & Mbuzeni.
The band, which comprises the members Emmanuel “Mjokes” Matsane, Mandla “Spikiri” Mofokeng, Eugene “Donald Duck” Mthethwa, Jairus “Jakarumba” Nkwe, Zynne “Mahoota” Sibika, has been around for almost two decades now, treating South Africa to fine music.
By the way, one of its members, “Mahoota,” a notable DJ, also stands out for solo offerings.
“uKhala Kanjani,” a dance tune, premiered today 30 October 2020. It may have been months since we listened to a number from the group, but, from the latest drop, it is clear The Trompies has yet got what it takes to snatch our attention.
Coming a day to the weekend, “uKhala Kanjani” might as well be called a weekend gift. It merits the tag. Not only does the song get the attention of the listener easily, it can retain the attention for a long time.
