Serial collaborators Vista & Catzico sing “Bhaza Bhaza” alongside fellow South African TDK Macassette.
Vista’s name has long been associated with DJ Catzico’s. Both artistes are disc jockeys and producers with several collaborative works between them. However, they also maintain solo careers in the sense that, now and then, each releases a song without the other.
No true fan of either artiste would consider this a loss, however. Together or apart, collaborating or not, DJ Vista and DJ Catzico are fine artistes and worth hearing. “Bhaza Bhaza” should give you an idea of their artistic universe, assuming you are not conversant with it already.
The guest artiste on the song, TDK Macassette, is herself a fine voice in South African music. Known for many songs, including “My Queen,” the songstress once had a spat with gqom chief now amapiano lord DJ Maphorisa over song ownership.
It appears the controversy over ownership is over and they are now chummy again. At any rate, you will love the song she has composed in collaboration with her compatriots.
