What has Zethu Mashika and ShabZi Madallion been up to? Well, the pair has linked up to share “Black Divinity” with fans. This is not just another song but a soundtrack to Loyiso Gola’s comedy special “Unlearning.”
Prior to the release of the song, in a post on Instagram, ShabZi Madallion had informed his fans and Loyiso (whom he calls his homie) of his plans. “Black Divinity,” he would explain, is a condensation of lessons he learned from “Unlearning.”
He didn’t spit out the lessons alone, though. He’s got Zethu Mashika to assist him. The two had a great performance that will excite the listeners. Although lacking the colours of a classic, “Black Divinity” is yet a song that will appeal to many out there.
While it might appear didactic in parts, it is fortunately not cloying and has zero prospects of betraying you to boredom. It is a song to hear and tell others about, so we have no qualms asking y’all to check it out.
