Apple Has a List of iPad-Ready Sites

It seems that the entire Internet is engaged in a massive iPad frenzy (I hesitate to think about what Apple stores across this country will be like tomorrow). And Apple is just basking in this frenzy, enjoying the attention and publicity that its latest product is receiving.

Apple has released a section on its website called “iPad Ready.” This section is exactly what it sounds like: a of websites that will display properly on the iPad. The compatible sites incorporate HTML5, CSS3, and Javascript (and obviously no Adobe Flash is allowed).

Apple does not link to any of the sites, though it does provide screenshots. Some of the sites that have met with Apple’s approval are CNN, Vimeo, The White House, and Flickr. There is a link at the bottom of the page to a form that you can submit if you want Apple to include your site on the list. There is also a link to help developers make iPad-compatible websites.
