On its first day of iPad sales, Apple sold over 300,000 of its newest product. This includes iPads that were pre-ordered and iPads that were bought in Apple stores.
The iPad is currently only available in the United States, but will be available in some parts of Europe, Canada, and Australia by the end of April. iPad customers traveled to the United States to purchase the device.
Apple has said that iPad customers have downloaded over one million apps and 250,000 e-books from the App Store.
According to reports, the crowds on the iPad’s launch day were much smaller than those on the iPhone’s launch day. Nevertheless, the iPad is set to become a huge success. In the words of Steve Jobs, it will be a “game changer.”
