Microsoft has recently announced that they will be selling wireless mice geared towards netbooks. The Wireless Mobile Mouse 4000 will go on sale in August and will be available in a variety of colors.
It will have a small USB transmitter that sticks out less than half an inch from the edge of the netbook when plugged in. This means that users can leave the USB transmitter plugged in without having it being a major distraction, unlike the case with most of the current wireless mice.
The $40 price tag on the Wireless Mobile Mouse 4000 is a bit hefty though, considering that it’s more than the revenue that Microsoft earns from the sale of Windows XP on the same netbook.
