2022 Matric Results – How, When and Where to get your results

Here’s how, when, and where to get your 2022 matric results.

The Education Department has announced the release date and how the matriculants can check and collect their 2022 matric results. According to a tweet shared by the department on Sunday, January 1st, matriculants can collect their results at the center where they wrote their papers.

The tweet revealed that they can expect their result on 19 January and can get the original statement of the result from 20 January. The tweet by the Department of Basic Education reads,

“Minister @Angie_Motshekga will release the Matric Exam Results on the 19th of January 2023 for the Matric Class of 2022. @ElijahMhlanga @HubertMweli @dbetvnews.”

If your result isn’t available, this will probably be due to a technical issue. It will be communicated to you by your school.

To check your result online;

  1. Visit the Department of Basic Education’s 2022 SC Examination Result Page.
  2. Enter the examination number assigned to you during your exams in the given field.
  3. Enter your home language.
  4. Fill in all the needed details.

All you need to do is wait for your result to load. If there is a delay, do not panic. It only means that the website is experiencing a lot of traffic because you’re not the only person checking their result.

Note: You can also check your result in the newspaper, such as The Rapport, The Star, and The Argus, on the release date. Also, high schools are required to release the results a day after the department does. Find out from your school when to collect the original printed Matric certificate. That should be a few months after the release.
