50 Cent Suggests That Jay-Z Is Disappointed In Kanye West

American rapper, 50 Cent, has reflected on those moments he and Kanye West went head-to-head and how Jay-Z backed him up.

Some of the close relationships of the ‘Graduation’ rapper have fallen apart in recent years. Kanye had a falling out with the OVO Sound rapper, Drake, and Drake had stated that their relationship was irreconcilable. Now, his strained relationship with the Roc Nation’s president has drawn speculation from the public.

Rap legend and business mogul, 50 Cent, released his book ‘Hustle Harder, Hustle Smarter’ of recent. In his book, 50 Cent reportedly wrote about why he thinks Kanye West disappointed his friend, Jay-Z.

50 Cent wrote about Jay-Z becoming Def Jam’s leader:

I salute Jay for a sophisticated strategy. There was nothing unethical or disloyal about it. A lot of people hesitate to make those moves. They’d rather stay connected even if those people aren’t getting them any closer to success. Jay didn’t fall into that trap. Still hasn’t.

50 Cent wrote about the time when he was pitted against the ‘Ye’ rapper musically. He called it a stunt that he created to assist with promotion. 50 Cent reportedly said that Jay-Z stood beside Kanye West because he was ‘uncomfortable’ with the rise of 50 Cent as the new rapper from New York City.

He wrote:

Jimmy lovine might not have cared about beating Kanye, but Jay-Z, who was the head of Def Jam at the time, damn sure cared about beating me. Jay had been extremely uncomfortable with my run in NYC for years. So he did everything under the sun to make sure he could beat me through Kanye.

Jay took a lot of pride in Kanye’s victory. I think that’s one of the reasons he’s so disappointed in Kanye today.
