Lil Tjay’s Alleged Shooter Arrested, Charged

It sounded like something from the book of fiction, but there’s no fiction to the shooting of rapper Lil Tjay in California days ago. The songster was shot multiple times at a shopping centre and was rushed bleeding to the hospital.

He was one of two persons injured during the incident.

27-year-old Mohammed Konate was arrested for the shooting and charged with first-degree armed and attempted murder, among others.

Incidentally, Antoine Boyd, 22 and Jeffrey Valdez, 24, who were with Li Tjay at the time of the shooting, were also arrested. Boyd was shot once by Konate and also received treatment in the hospital.

Konate was arrested by detectives from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and, according to the statement, is being charged with first-degree attempted murder, three counts of first-degree armed robbery, second-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, second-degree unlawful possession of a firearm, and fourth-degree aggravated assault.

Lil Tjay is still in the hospital because of his injuries. He had reportedly undergone emergency surgery and was unconscious. Before he was announced unconscious, though, a message had popped on his Instagram story in which he alleged the shooting was the handiwork of an envious person close to him.

Out there, his fans are praying for his quick recovery.
