South African rapper A-Reece has pulled out of the SA Hip Hop Awards.
The SA Hip Hop Awards is one of the most prestigious awards in the country. The event was created to celebrate the Hip Hop artists who made the most strides in the calendar year. This year, many artists raised the bar and earned SA Hip Hop some praise.
Fans were excited to hear that Cassper Nyovest, AKA, K.O, and A-Reece were all nominated in the same category. Unfortunately, our excitement has been shortlived because organizers of the Award show have just announced that Reece pulled out.
The shared statement read, “A-Reece has been a highlight of our couple of shows, and he deservedly had an amazing night winning two awards, namely Mixtape Of The Year and Lyricists Of The Year.” No reason has been revealed for fans to understand his decision. Reece had one of the best years, and, of course, we will all miss him on the show.
