AB De Villiers, Boity, Minnie Dlamini: Meet South Africa’s Highest-Earning Media Personalities

Show us the money! Okay, no need to do that. Lol. We have already seen the stats, and Minnie Dlamini and Boity seem to have a good stash. Both have just been revealed to be the highest-earning South African media personalities.

NetCredit recently created an algorithm to determine the highest-earning celebs out there. The survey encapsulated South African media personalities, so we were able to be something from there as well. The result turned out pretty interesting.

To arrive at their verdict, they put together a list of the most-followed Instagram personalities from every country and used the Instagram rich list to estimate the fees they earn per ad. By default, the higher the following g on the platform, the higher the earning per ad.

On the earnings scale, the Portuguese footballer Christiano Ronaldo holds the number 1 spot, with earnings of $85.22 million. He’s followed by his football rival Lionel Messi, with earnings of exactly $71.96 million.

With $33.73 million, media personality Ellen DeGeneres is the top-earning media personality in the United States.

It’s a different ball game for Canada, which has Justin Bieber as the highest earner, with a sum of $4.43 million.

In South Africa, AB De Villiers, Boity, and Minnie Dlamini are the first, second, and third highest earners with $1.42m (roughly R26 million), $777 852 (roughly R14 million) and $567,624 (roughly R10 340 270,18) respectively.
