Abu Dhabi Grand Prix: Max Verstappen Clinches A Win

2022 is ending on a good note for Belgium-born Max Verstappen as he wins the season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Talk about winning on two levels.

The win is especially significant because it increases his string of wins to 15. It is as much a personal triumph as it is a Red Bull triumph.

Trailing behind Verstappen at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on Sunday was Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc, who was recorded as the race’s runner-up, just above Sergio Perez, who is part of Verstappen’s Red Bull team.

Sebastian Vettel, the four-time champion, did not make much of an impression on the field this time, finishing 10th in his 299th and final race. That’s not a point a retiring racer would love to have, something Vettel acknowledged soon after the race.

The Aston Martin racer noted that he wished he could have had more points. Well, fate had other plans for him in his last race. This, of course, didn’t stop him from expressing his gratitude and acknowledging that he would miss a lot about the races.

Verstappen was not only the star of the show at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix; he could also win more races if he does not retire soon.
