Actor James Caan Of The “The Godfather” Fame Dead At 82

Celebrated American actor James Caan, famous for flicks like The Godfather, Misery, Thief, The Gambler,  and El Dorado, is dead, according to a statement released by his family.

The Caan family had announced the death of their patriarch using his verified Twitter account. The family expressed sadness at the actor’s passing, giving the day of his death as July 6.

Beyond that, the family also expressed gratitude to those who have been showing support to the family through condolences and other means. It ended up asking for privacy as the family navigates that treacherous moment.

There were no details on what caused his death or where exactly he died. At any rate, since the release of the tragic news, condolences have been pouring in from his colleagues and his fans, with many pointing to the impact he made in the industry before his death.
