Actor Siyabonga Shibe Allegedly Scammed Film Students Over R125K

Mzansi actor Siyabonga Shibe is alleged to have scammed several film students of over R125k after promising to get them TV jobs.

Siyabonga Shibe’s woes continue according to a new report by Zimoja. The actor has been accused or being a liar and scamming a couple of film students of their money. He is said to have promised to find them jobs on TV but it turned out to be a lie. He also allegedly changed them R20k and never attended a single class or any meetings with them.

To be a part of Shibe’s class at the Dream Up Productions, the students were charged between R10 000 and R20 000. This was with the promise of landing land major roles on TV and getting a feature on big commercials.

Zimoja writes that one the students who chose to remain anonymous said, “My parents took their last money knowing that we are guaranteed jobs after completing the course.”

They revealed that they were promised lessons in acting, TV production, directing and anything related to TV.

Instead of delivering, he disappeared with over R125 000 of the students’ monies.

“What do we tell our parents now because most of us are from disadvantaged backgrounds and we were hoping that we were going to change our lives and the lives of our families by joining his production?” They said.
