Following the death of radio veteran, Vukani ‘Chilli M’ Masinga, Candice Modiselle, actress and YFM DJ, as well some other celebrities have taken to social media to pay their tributes.
Masinga died at a Johannesburg hospital on Thursday afternoon from natural cause. He is set to the buried next week Saturday.
Saddened by the death of Masinga, the actress shared her fondest reminiscences of the radio veteran on Twitter, saying he ought to be celebrated.
She said:
Worthy of being celebrated. Your wisdom, heart, mind and filter-less mouth are only a few things we loved about you.
She additionally thanked him for “showing her the ropes.”
Thank you for your continuous selfless gift to broadcasting, for showing me the ropes, for the laughs and the overflow of love. R.I.P Vukani, Chilli, the father.
Candice Modiselle isn’t the sole celebrity that has paid tribute to Masinga. Mantseo Pout, 947 radio host, remembered Chilli M as a person with his set rules and a man who transformed the face of broadcasting.
DJ ZanD described him as someone who lived his life by making every moment count.
