Actress Dame Angela Lansbury, Famous For “Murder, She Wrote,” Dead At 96

Forever young. Forever young. Do you wanna be forever young? Put that question to people out there, and the answers would almost always come out positive. Life is good, and people would rather embrace the fountain of you if it were possible.

But, of course, as you well know, that’s an imaginative chimaera at the moment. And as long as there is life, there will be death. People grow old and die. People slump and die. People die. Dame Angela Lansbury, famous for her role in Murder, She Wrote, is dead. She was 96.

According to a statement released by her family, the celebrated actress died in her sleep exactly five days before her 97th birthday. Her children sadly acknowledged her death while also noting that she died at her home in Los Angeles.

At the time of her death, her career had spanned about eight decades, encapsulating not just film but television and theatre as well.

The news of her death reverberated across the film universe and social media, with those who were either conversant with her or her films speaking on her impact and what they would miss about her.

Dame Angela was born in London but moved to New York, where she attended the Feagin School of Dramatic Art.
