Just how old is kwaito musician Thebe? The songster was the centre of attention recently when a poster with an image celebrating his 50th birthday surfaced online.
A Twitter user with the handle @_Viwe_ had shared a flyer announcing the musician’s birthday. The flyer promised a nostalgic night of music. But many of those who saw it were not even focused on the night of music but on how the musician looked.
Another Twitter user reposted the tweet, pointing out that the celebrated kwaito musician has seemingly been turning 50 for the past 13 years. Comparisons were made between him and another notable figure, Somizi Mhlong, who is also in his 50s. You can check out the post below.

Thebe is not as active at the moment as he was in the past but will certainly be pleased with what the public is saying about his looks and how he has managed to remain “ageless” even into his 50s. The songster may not be very active at the moment, but he has already earned a secure spot in South Africa’s kwaito music universe.
Kwaito used to be the in-thing, but it appears to have been relegated a bit following the emergence of amapiano, which has maintained a steady dominance.
