AKA Aids Student With Money For Transport and Stationery

The magnanimous side of Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, the South African hip hop champ professionally known as AKA, glittered once again to the admiration of the denizens of social media.

A young man named Trevor who attends a free school had tweeted of his need for stationery and money for transport.

Skeptical at the outset, AKA asked his fans to verify the guy’s claims. When it was confirmed that indeed the guy attends a free school and actually needs money for the things he asked for, AKA promised his team would get in touch via DM (direct message).

This isn’t the first time AKA has helped someone in need. He has several records of helping those in need, even without them asking.

Recently, for instance, when he noticed that a fan had voted for him several times in this year’s SAMA in the Video Of The Year category had an old and weather-beaten phone and could do with a new one, AKA offered to buy him a new phone.

By the way, AKA has denounced the alcohol ban in South Africa and even the R2k monthly relief fund from the government to artistes, describing it as degrading and of no use to him.

Well, what do you think?
